As a growing company we have invested into a new premises which has been backed by Lloyds bank.

We Manufacture structural insulated panels (SIP’s). A family grown business founded by Les and Christina Crossley; father and daughter. The business over the last decade has grown steadily, supplying panels for projects such as extensions, conversions and garden rooms.

With the interest of sustainable materials rising in large scaled developments, Structural insulated panels (SIP’s) fell within that category. However as a company, we decided to accelerate our growth plans by securing a £500,000 funding package and purchase our Mendlesham site of 7.5 acres.

We are introducing an Automated production line controlled by an advanced manufacturing robot; Designed by the University of Cambridge it is set to grow our production capacity from 200 to 1,440 panels per day. Furthermore the outcome being about £50m worth of panels per year.

Our company currently has around 30 employees. With a estimated 300 per cent turnover we will create over 200 jobs over the next few years.

Comments from our Director and Bank Manager;

Joint managing director Les Crossley at Supersips states “Structural Insulated panels haven’t been around as long as many other construction materials. However they have proven their worth as a modern building material.

In addition there is an interest in SIP’s growing rapidly in the new build housing market, we recognised the opportunity to reshape our manufacturing capabilities and therefore future-proofing the business for years to come.

With the support received from Lloyds bank we were able to purchase our new headquarters in Mendlesham. The first exciting steps in our journey.”

“Sips is a revolutionary building fabric and Supersips is right on the cutting edge of its development. It’s also a prime example of how capitalising on industry demand and new opportunities can help a business grow.

The investment in new premises and technology will be transformational in terms of growth and with plans to create hundreds of new hobs during the coming years, it’s clear their new site in Mendlesham will be right at centre of its community

CARL MORTIMER- SMITH, RELATIONSHIP MANAGER AT LLOYDS BANK
