SuperSIPs is ten years old. Here is a brief history timeline that has brought us to this point;
2011: The SuperSIPs story started back in 2011 when Les Crossley bought SIP’s Tech (Anglian) after taking on a brief to build a student accommodation block for 110 students using modern insulated building techniques.
2012: With projects like a new stable block for race horses for a Sheik and a vets surgery the commercial viability of using SIP’s was now well proven.
2013: During this year, SuperSIP’s moved to Newbourne and opened their factory there and launched a new website as business slowly increased.
2014: SuperSIPs saw an opportunity to have a second site in Waldringfield which enabled them to increase production and run the factory 24/7.
2015: Only a year later it was time to move again to increase production. The Newbourne factory was closed and all production was moved to Ipswich. A continuous production line running 24/7 was now in operation. The office remained at the previous site in Newbourne.
2016: Advances in production techniques saw a new pressing system introduced again aimed at increasing production.
2017: Still looking to increase production mobile presses were introduced and additional presses were added.
2018: To manage the increase in production a new fleet of owned delivery trucks were purchased to enable a better delivery service by managing the entire delivery process.
2019: 2 more presses added to the production line to meet the increase in demand.
2020: The covid pandemic led to a 300% increase in orders and a system was introduced to meet delivery deadlines in 7-10 days or pickup in 3 days.
2021: A new factory location was signed for to enable SuperSIP’s to build a new much larger production facility with brand new presses, and separate factories for panels, modular homes, and homeless pods.
2022: Building started on our new office block and meeting room on our new Mendlesham site.
2023: We moved our offices from Newbourne, to our newly built office block at Mendlesham, finally uniting our whole team on one site. SuperSIPs purchased 300 solar panels to add to our new factory roofs making us greener and more sustainable.
2024: Our robots will be arriving and the building of our brand new robot factory will commence.
