Concrete Slab to be in accordance with Local Building Control guidelines, typically minimum 150mm reinforced concrete slab.
Screwpiles are a less intrusive way of supporting your Garden Studio compared to concrete slab. They are positioned at maximum of 1.2m centres to match the Timber Splines in the Sip floor. Screw piles enable a level base to be positioned on sloping ground without the need for expensive excavations.
Easi Padsᵀᴹ are an alternative to screw piles. They are best suited to flat level ground with the Top Soil removed to provide a stable base and keep the ridge height lower.
Council Grade paving slabs to be put on top of cured concrete slab at max 1.2m centres on a mortar bed and levelled.
